Everyone thinks they know what's underneath the fur and sequins. (Sure, it's the dancers.)

But do you really understand the humanity at the lion's core?

In this online exhibition, you'll learn about lion dance from the inside out. Discover its soul, over a thousand years of history, culture, and myths woven into its fabric. Get acquainted with the parts of the lion's body and the symbolism of each. Learn why it leaps, and about the drums that make its heart beat.

Finally, follow it as it dances through the lion city, and see how lion dance in Singapore has developed over time.
